Our Porous Border

Not to spoil the surprise, but my latest writing project involves criminal syndicates using tunnels carved under the US-Mexico border to smuggle drugs and UDAs (undocumented aliens) into the country. This morning, TheBlaze is carrying a story about a recent discovery in San Diego that netted over 30 tons of narcotics.

Smuggling Tunnel under the US-Mexico Border

These are the lengths to which the drug cartels are willing to go in order to get their drugs into (and their money out of) our country. Can you imagine the amount of time, money and human labor it took to dig this?

Our southern border–and our refusal to adequately protect it–is one of the biggest national security risks in modern history. Don’t tell me I didn’t warn you.
